StockX, the Detroit-based secondary market platform, on Tuesday announced the addition of streetwear to its marketplace. Streetwear joins sneakers, watches and handbags as the platform’s fourth vertical.

The streetwear vertical launch exclusively features Supreme, with over 3,000 products available on the platform, including collaboration pieces with Champion and novelty pieces such as a lock box, chopsticks and Duralex glasses. Fellow big name street brands Off-White, Bape and Kith will be added on later dates.

"Streetwear has been on the 'stock market of things' roadmap since day one," said StockX CEO and co-founder, Josh Luber. "And our sneaker customers have been asking for it for almost as long.”

Luber founded StockX in 2016 with Quicken Loans Founder and Chairman Dan Gilbert and StockX COO Greg Schwartz. The platform, described as ‘the stock market of things’, launched with sneakers and expanded to watches and handbags in 2017.

With the addition of streetwear, StockX hired professional streetwear reseller Rob Gonzales to lead the streetwear team.

“We are thrilled that we have landed the kind of talent like Rob Gonzales,” said Luber. "We are excited to bring our model to a new category which joins sneakers, watches and handbags."
