Tiffany and Dover Street Market unite to launch limited edition jewelry

The iconic jewelry house and Rei Kawakubo’s Dover Street Market are set to unveil an “Out of Retirement” capsule collection on November 2015, comprising 8 jewelry designs from past seasons and 10 gift items.

The collaboration marks the first time Tiffany partners with another retailer on a capsule collection and is also the first time the Dover Street Market launches a project of this magnitude across all stores with a jewelry house.

The collection will be launched in November at the concept store's New York, London and Tokyo locations - Dover Street Market

Commenting on the limited edition range, Francesca Amfitheatrof, design director at Tiffany said: “I love this idea of ‘Out of Retirement’ gifts. The essence of Tiffany has always been about modernity and beautiful material—and these pieces feel just as contemporary today as they were when they were first made. They are rich with the charm and wit that are an intrinsic part of the company.”

The “Out of Range” collection will be showcased in installation spaces in Dover Street Market's New York, Ginza and London stores, with site-specific displays inspired by Gene Moore, who designed Tiffany’s legendary windows from 1955 through 1994.

It will feature 18 karat gold statement pieces from the brand’s early 1970s collections, including rings and bold bracelets, as well as gold, diamond and tsavorite earrings modeled on cufflinks from Tiffany’s 1971 Blue Book catalogue. Sterling gift items will round out the collection, including a fish flask, a pillbox shaped like a miniature Chinese take-out container and a haute trouser leg clip for the stylish cycling enthusiast.
