July 4, 2011 - The New York fashion label has let a 4,000 square foot location from Cadogan Estate in London’s Sloane Square area, according to CB Richard Ellis (CBRE). Having first introduced its collection in Covent Garden via a pop-up store back in October 2010, the brand’s 10 year lease represents a significant and permanent move into the European market. Set to open by September 2011, the new European and UK store will carry ‘kate spade new york’ full range of apparel and accessories.

“The flagship store fits perfectly with the exciting plans for both Kings Road and Sloane Square and the Estate is now in an even stronger position to attract further leading international fashion brands to the area” Edward Humbert, Senior Director, Central London Retail, CB Richard Ellis, commented.

The store’s location is part of a redevelopment of the former General Trading Company building, which Cadogan Estate engaged in to create an exclusive destination close to Sloane Square, CBRE reports. The store is located on the cross-section of Symons Street and Pavilion Road and is positioned close to high-end retailers such as Tiffany, Links of London, Hugo Boss, and Cartier. "Other units in this development have been let to lifestyle brand The White Company and cashmere clothing retailer Brora, while shoe designer Beatrix Ong, British perfumer Ormond Jayne, and the luxury patisserie Cocomaya have all taken stores fronting onto Pavilion Road", as stated by CBRE.

The Cadogan Estate, advised by CB Richard Ellis (CBRE), will introduce further retail units to the area in late-2011, including a 7,000 sq ft flagship store on Kings Road and a 4,000 sq ft store on Sloane Square, with the intention of attracting further high-end brands.
