Blue Tomato will be located at Utrecht’s city centre at Voor Clarenburg 1. The 449-square-metre shop, which is divided over three buildings and four floors, currently houses Marcjanssen, a carpet store well-known by locals. Neighboring retailers include Michael Kors, Rituals, Björn Borg, De Rode Winkel Jeans, Thom Broekman menswear and Tommy Hilfiger.

Local news site DUIC writes that Blue Tomato is already popular under Dutch consumers, which is the reason the Austrian retailer will debut a physical store in the Netherlands. Blue Tomato currently operates a web store for the Dutch market. In addition, the sportswear retailer aims to open additional stores across the country in the coming months, DUIC reports.

Blue Tomato is known for snow, skate, surf, and sportswear for men, women and children. Brands on offer include Burton, Vans, adidas, Rip Curl, Patagonia, Nike, Carthartt, Ellesse, Puma, Santa Cruz Snowboards, and its own label, Blue Tomato.

Blue Tomato opened its first store in Schladming, Austria, in 1994. Today, the retailer operates more than 35 stores in Austria, Switzerland and Germany. The retailer is online and offline market leader in snow, skate, surf and sportswear in Europe.
