To cope with the increasing demand in North and Central America, the German company Beiersdorf (Nivea, La Prairie ...) is opening a new factory and research center in Silao, Mexico. Built in two years, the eco-friendly site will produce 280 million cosmetic products and 45,000 tons of products per year. By the end of the year, the number of employees at the plant will increase from 350 to about 600.

The Beiersdorf plant in Mexico opened its doors on July 18 in the presence of German Foreign Minister Dr. Frank-Walter Steinmeier

Initially, the factory will produce creams, lotions, showers and lipcare products for Nivea, Eucerin and Labello to be sold in Mexico and in Central and North America. Meanwhile, the research center will welcome 20 researchers with specific aim of creating products targeted in particular at Latin America.
