The French designer began her career over 20 years ago, working in the design studios of various haute couture labels before launching her own line three years ago. She joins fashion houses such as Chanel and Christian Dior Couture, as well as new additions Alexis Mabille and Maison Martin Margiela, who were inaugurated to haute couture season last year.

Graduating from France’s Ecole Duperré, Jarrar spent ten years at Balenciaga before moving on to the ateliers at Lacroix. In 2012, the designer was awarded with l’Ordre des Arts et Lettres.

Bouchra Jarrar will present her next collection on January 21 during Paris haute couture fashion week.
