A new phase is on the way for Brioni with the arrival of Gianluca Flore in the CEO position as of 1st November 2014. The appointment was announced late Monday in a press release by the Kering group, which acquired the Italian luxury ready-to-wear brand at the end of 2011.

Gianluca Flore succeeds Francesco Pesci, who came to Brioni as a Sales Director in 2007 and was promoted to CEO in 2010, helping to successfully achieve the integration of Brioni within the Kering Group. He has left the group to take his career in a new direction.

Before joining Brioni, Gianluca Flore spent six years at Bottega Veneta, first as president of the Americas region, then as worldwide retail & wholesale director and Chief Executive Officer of the Asia-Pacific region.

With a degree in business administration from the LUISS Business School in Rome (just like Francesco Pesci), Gianluca Flore started as an auditor and financial adviser at Arthur Andersen before entering the luxury industry.

First he was president of La Perla North America and then held the same position at Fendi (LVMH) before joining Kering in 2008.
