Brooks Brothers opens new Bicester Village store

Brooks Brothers has revamped its Bicester Village presence with the official opening its new and bigger store set for September 13. America’s oldest apparel brand has invested in upgrading its Bicester operation after saying the original store was “one of the most relevant locations for our business.”

“Our new store in Bicester Village reflects the brand’s evolution and its DNA of innovation,” Luca Gastaldi, EMEA CEO of the brand. “The new space is designed to make our clients feel at home, at ease and belonging to the essence of the brand with an even more seamless shopping experience.”

The new store will continue to offer a full range from the menswear collection, including made-to-order suiting “in a dynamic new setting”. Covering 70 sq m, the store interior embraces contemporary design elements “with a distinct nod to Brooks Brothers heritage of the past.”

The “intimate” new setting is accented by “warm, unexpected colours such as teal and shades of dark blue, with statement sofas and opulent curtains framing the space.” A custom chandelier is a major feature, with further lighting coming from spotlights bordering the perimeter of the space. Furniture in light grey lacquer is complemented by herringbone parquetry and mosaic stone flooring “to create an ambiance that is both luxurious and inviting,” we’re told.

Although Brooks Brothers has over 280 stores in its domestic market, the US, and 700 globally, it has relatively few in the UK so the Bicester opening is a significant one. It joins the existing London Flagship store at 150 Regent Street, and the York Designer Outlet location.
