Singer/songwriter Ed Sheeran has collaborated with Lucy & Yak, the fashion brand known for its dungarees, to launch a conscious capsule collection inspired by his 2019 album Equals.

Sheeran has helped to design the exclusive collection of organic items  -- inspired by the artwork from his latest album as he embarks on the UK leg of his sell-out Mathematics tour. And The Ed Sheeran & Yak collection, of course, includes a limited edition pair of signature dungarees.

The collection – featuring organic LE Original Dungaree (£65), Bailey Hoodie (£58), Denver T-shirt (£28) and Travis Bucket Hat (£22) -- has been created for fans of both Sheeran and Lucy & Yak (‘Sheerios’ and ‘Yakkers’). It will be available from 14 July.

A longtime fan of Lucy & Yak, he wanted to partner on a collection that “brings together his love for his fans, and Lucy & Yak’s iconic designs and sustainability-focused approach,” we're told.

The collection features butterfly prints and designs with a neutral colour palette using ecru and black.

With wearability throughout all seasons in mind, the unisex pieces “are made to be enjoyed beyond this summer’s festival fashion… and into autumn and winter’s cosy comfort dressing”.

The collection is made “fairly”, from organic cotton, while the Travis Bucket Hat is made entirely from deadstock fabrics.

To mark the launch, Lucy & Yak has invited a line-up of musicians to record their own Ed Sheeran covers, and will encourage their customers and Ed Sheeran fans to send in their own covers for a campaign film.

Lucy Greenwood, co-founder of Lucy & Yak, said: “The butterfly used in Ed’s album artwork holds a really special meaning to him, and so we’re honoured to be able to bring this to life as part of such a special collection of Yaks -- particularly as we know that Ed shares our passion for doing better for the environment."
