He’ll work on apparel for the British brand and will be responsible for “growing the business throughout the US, and identifying new business opportunities”.

Originally known for its hats when it was founded in the 1930s, Kangol now offers a complete streetwear line-up. It has been owned by Frasers Group (formerly Sports Direct) since 2006.

Elmau said that “Clair brings his years of experience as a sales leader for some of the world’s most admired apparel and accessories brands” to the brand. His CV includes his most recent position as Executive VP for Global Sales for the Bollman Hat Company. He’s also served as Senior VP of Sales for Russell Newman Brands, VP of New Business Development for the Carole Hochman Design Group, and a Division Sales VP for Hanesbrands. In addition, he’s been a principal of his own company, ClairVoyant Consulting.

Elmau is a wholesale licensing house specialising in sports, entertainment and branding licenses.
