Hotter Shoes owner gets new product chief, signs agreement with True Fit

Unbound Group, the parent of footwear retailer Hotter Shoes, has appointed buying expert Sarah Davies as chief product officer.

Davies, who has over 20 years’ fashion retail industry experience, will oversee strategy and product development for the group’s comfort footwear brand. She will also take lead position on the development of Unbound’s apparel categories. 

Davies has held executive buying roles at Marks & Spencer, Arcadia, where she was Buying Director for Dorothy Perkins, Jones Bootmaker, Debenhams, for its‘Designers at Debenhams’ collaboration initiatives, and Tesco, where she launched footwear within the F&F department.

Unbound Group chief executive Ian Watson, said: “[Sarah’s] outstanding fashion retail expertise and previous success will be invaluable for the group as we enter into the next phase of our journey.”

Separately, Unbound Group said its Hotter Shoes brand has formed a partnership with footwear fit and size specialist True Fit. Unbound said the link has been formed to “improve customer experience and engagement” as Hotter “steps up its direct-to-consumer offer”.

“Hotter Shoes partnered with True Fit to better understand its shoppers and to further elevate and improve fit confidence in the online shopping journey, helping new and existing customers find footwear that would not only fit, but be a style they would love”, it said.
