Running Tuesday, October 19 to Thursday, October 21, the upcoming online event features the usual mix of talks, panels and trend previews, combining live presentations with pre-recorded content. Each day’s discussions are presented during a three-hour livestream kicking off at 3 PM CET.

The theme of day one is “Inspiration” and, after a welcome from Kingpins founder Andrew Olah and Vivian Wang, Kingpins show managing director and global sales manager, proceedings open with an introduction from lead sponsors Tencel and The Lycra Company. Presentations on circular design and responsible jeans follow, alongside a preview of denim trends for Spring/Summer 2023, and sessions dedicated to a collaborative project with the Indigo Museum.

The second day of the event focuses on “Innovation and Technology” and, among other talks and presentations, features two panel discussions: “Zero Waste Manufacturing” and “The Future of Fibers.” There is also an interview with Marco Lucetti of denim company Isko, which recently announced a partnership with Pakistani denim manufacturer Soorty for the production of the brand’s lightweight Future Face denim technology.

Titled “Earth Day,” the third day of the event discusses themes including vertical integration, water conservation, the reality of recycling, and scaling the circular economy. Moderated by Kara Hurrey, the event’s final panel discussion, named “Carbon is Cancelled,” features 7 For All Mankind’s Taj Garmon, and Ali Ghafoor of Sapphire Textile Mills.

Last month, Kingpins announced that its upcoming physical show in New York, previously scheduled for December, had been canceled due to continued uncertainty surrounding the Covid-19 pandemic. Kingpins24 Latin America is set to run November 9-10.

Those interested in watching this October’s show can still register on the Kingpins website. Videos from the event will also be uploaded to the trade fair’s YouTube channel after the event.
