“With over 13 years of experience in retail at Lush, Kasey brings a breadth of knowledge from managing and directing over 100 Lush shop managers and the mission to innovate high streets”, it said.

It added: “Kasey’s journey at Lush is truly inspirational for those looking to develop a career in retail”.

Joining Lush as a Sales Associate in the Cardiff store in 2010 , she moved through the ranks to store Supervisor within the same year, becoming Store Manager from 2012 through to 2017.

Swithenbank said: “I’m extremely passionate about our high streets being memory makers for visitors and believe Lush shops create lasting memories for customers. Along with offering experiences beyond retail shopping like spa, parties and more.  I’m excited to continue building upon Lush’s success in these areas”.

The high street bath and bodycare retailer prides itself on building relationships with its customers and that helped the business report its highest-ever trading month in December, exceeding forecasts.

UK and Ireland numbers also beat pre-pandemic sales, hitting £40.5 million, 11% higher than in 2019. It said physical store sales rose 18% compared with 2021, with Lush citing customers returning to the high street.

Lush UK and Ireland retail director Kat Hannible said the success was helped by increased stock levels and strong recruitment numbers “to provide the best possible experience for our customers”.
