Marc Cain has opened its first permanent showroom in Rue Boissy D'Anglas, a street off of the Faubourg Saint Honoré in central Paris. Alexandra and Yann Le Meilleur will direct the location. Previously, the German label only operated temporary showrooms in the French capital during ordering season.

Despite the difficult situation for French retailers, the Bodelshausen, Germany-based brand says it has been able to increase its market share in France. At present, Marc Cain has 80 active customers in France, and says that sales growth in France has been constantly on the rise in recent years. For spring/summer 2018, the company recorded a double-digit increase in advance orders.

The new 250-square-meter showroom is close to the Élysée Palace and will present the Marc Cain Sports, Additions and Bags & Shoes collections.

The space for writing orders offers three work stations centrally located in the showroom, surrounded by collections displayed on the perimeter.

“The new showroom is an investment in the future in the French market so that we can attract new department stores and franchise customers," commented Norbert Lock, the brand’s managing director. The new location on the Rue Boissy D'Anglas already began taking orders in June.
