The Carnaby area of London continues to encourage an interesting mix of retailers with the latest arrival being mental health charity Mind. It’s set to open a permanent pre-loved vintage fashion shop on 12 October.

The store will cover 563,000 sq ft at number 8 Ganton Street and will open during the week of World Mental Health Day.

It's the neighbourhood’s first permanent charity shop and will carry “a carefully curated collection of pre-loved vintage and designer stock for the stylish W1 shopper”.

That means labels including Givenchy, Vivienne Westwood, Burberry, Coach and Louis Vuitton, with new stock being added each day.

Consumers will be able to drop off donations and also volunteer to work there.

The two-storey shop features oak wood floors and neon lighting with a separate changing room area downstairs and an overall “warm and welcoming interior [that] will embody the Mind brand, creating a mindful and comforting space for those who visit”.

Landlord Shaftesbury said the opening demonstrates its “commitment to community, the planet and to the fight for better mental health”.
