Artcurial is jetting off to the French Riviera to kick off the new year in style with an exceptional auction at the Hôtel Hermitage in Monte-Carlo January 15 -19. This Monaco sale features some of the finest creations from the world's great jewelers, as well as collector's watches and a selection of prestigious Hermès bags.

Artcurial is thinking big for its first sale of the new year, with an auction dedicated to jewelry, watches and prestigious leather goods in Monte-Carlo in January. The sale will see some exceptional pieces go up for auction, much to the delight of enthusiasts and the most discerning collectors.

After several days on public display, the week will kick off with a January 17 auction of jewelry from the world's most famous names, as well as jewelry crafted by artists. Pieces by Cartier, Van Cleef & Arpels, Boucheron and David Webb will go under the hammer, as will an amethyst of nearly 90 carats assembled in a ring by Dior, which is expected to be a great success.

The event will continue with a sale dedicated to collector's watches on January 17, featuring exceptional pieces including a Rolex named "The Last One" that belonged to the last Comex diver (estimate: €60,000 - 80,000), as well as a selection of vintage pieces including an Omega Speedmaster from the early 1960s (estimate: €8,000 - 12,000). The following day, January 18, watches will be back on the bill, but this time the sale will be entirely dedicated to women's timepieces, including a rare ladies' watch in gold and enamel from the 1910s, created by Cartier (estimate: €12,000 - 18,000).

Artcurial's 'Fashion and Luxury Accessories' department will close this auction with a series of bags from some of the world's leading luxury brands, including Hermès. The famous leather goods manufacturer will have a special place in the auction with several variations of its iconic Birkin, Kelly and Constance bags, but collectors will also be able to bid for creations by Chanel and Louis Vuitton.
