The post-pandemic store opening boom is continuing in the UK with the latest news being that Moss Bros and Skechers will open fashion flagships in Woking mall Victoria Place.

The mall, which is owned by Woking Borough Council and Moyallen Group, will see both brands opening later this spring with the debuts underlining the appeal of high-profile malls that have been benefiting from major investment in recent periods.

Moss Bros is opening on Henry Plaza, which forms part of the £700 million redevelopment of Woking town centre. It will occupy a 2,742 sq ft boutique stocking its full collection of clothing, footwear and accessories. This includes its specialist collection of suits and recently launched casualwear range, as well as exclusive collaborations such as Moss Bros. x Fred Sirieix. Importantly, it will also debut a new store concept as the brand gears up for further site openings throughout the year.

Joining it on Henry Plaza, Skechers will open an even bigger (5,000 sq ft) store that will offer shoppers 700 different styles of lifestyle and performance footwear for men, women and children, as well as various fashion items.

Moss Bros CEO Brian Brick said the firm “has shown remarkable resilience over the pandemic, and we are keenly focused on reinvesting in the high street and opening new stores within key regions around the UK. We’ve always had a desire to open in Woking, as the town centre serves a broad and wealthy catchment and is well placed to become a major destination due to the significant investment from Moyallen Group and Woking Borough Council.”
