LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton has named Pauline Brown as Chairman of its North American division, LVMH Inc, effective 2nd January. She takes over from ex-French minister Renaud Dutreil who left the position to pursue other interests. Pauline Brown is new to the French luxury super-group, having spent the past two years as a consultant for emerging luxury brands in the United States.

Pauline Brown will be taking over from Renaud Dutreil at LVMH.

Pauline Brown started her career at Bain & Co and has since spent time working for some of the biggest names in American beauty, including Avon and Estée Lauder. During her 8-year stint at Estée Lauder, the group’s portfolio grew from 8 to 25 different beauty brands. Between 2006 and 2010, Brown was Managing Director for the Carlyle Group, one of the biggest American investment firms. She has since been on the executive committee of Moncler, Alain Mikli and beauty-brand Philosophy.

Renaud Dutreil left his position in the North American division of LVMH to pursue entrepreneurial interests in New York. He is also part of the French association which supports the future Parsons Paris design school.
