Première Vision: Guglielmo Olearo heads up international shows

AGraduated from the Politecnico di Torino, before getting an MBA from Essec-Mannheim, Olearo started his career at Arcelo-Mittal, where he was Area Sales Manager. In 2004, he joined the Water division at Arch Chemicals where he became Sale Manager for Europe. In 2010, he was promoted to Business Development Manager for the EMEA region for the Food & Beverages division.

Recently recruited at Première Vision, his task is to give a new lease of life to the company’s international shows. Olearo wants to create a real sense of brand image for each of the shows; Première Vision (fabric), Expofil (yarn), Indigo (surface design), Modamont (accessories) and Denim by PV (denim).

“The objective is to target and position the shows and the products according to the different markets,” underline Guglielmo Olearo. “It is all about teamwork between Paris and out 12 other offices across the world. We need to think about development opportunities in other countries and how we can build the Première Vision brand.”

Denim by Premiére Vision saw a record number of attendees at the end of 2012 and the New York edition of the show, taking place the 15th and 16th January, will show 13% more exhibitors. The Paris edition of the show, taking place between the 12th and 14th February, will bring together 1,739 exhibitors, up 12% on the previous edition.
