Having first joined Ross as director of strategic planning in 2008, Marquette has served as CFO since 2019. He is leaving the retailer to accept a position with another company.

Prior to joining Ross, Marquette was director of retail operations at Carter’s Inc., after a six-year stint as a manager at Bain & Company. The executive, who holds a BS/BA from the Wharton School and an MBA from the Columbia Business School, began his career as an audit manager at PricewaterhouseCoopers in 1993.

Following his departure, Ross’ senior finance executives will report to the company’s group president and chief operating officer, Michael Hartshorn. Further finance leadership changes will be announced at the company in the coming months.

Commenting on Marquette’s departure in a release, Ross CEO Barbara Rentler said, “Travis has made a number of contributions over the years in various leadership roles. We thank him and wish him well in his future endeavors.”

“We have a very talented and long-tenured team of senior Finance executives and have confidence in their ability to aid in the continued profitable growth and market share gains for the Company,” she added.

Ross reported annual revenues of $12.5 billion in fiscal 2020. The company operates 1,589 Ross Dress for Less stores in 40 U.S. states, the District of Columbia and Guam, as well as 285 DD’s Discounts locations in 21 states.
