Shopsuite enables online publishers to monetize their traffic by generating sales for retailers. With the investment, Shopsuite will focus on further growth of its customer portfolio as well as the further development of its recommendation algorithm.

Aart Wallet, investor and entrepreneur, commented: “The Shopuite model has already proven itself, it is now a matter of scaling [the company] up. With the e-commerce season ahead [holiday season], we expect to make good progress in the coming months.”

Rick Curé, CEO and co-founder at Shopsuite, said: “Aart and his associates have a great deal of knowledge and experience and a large network within the performance marketing sector.”

Shopsuite offers product recommendation software for online publishers. With Shopsuite, relevant product recommendations are automatically added to editorial content, matching the article subject and audience of the publisher. Current publishing partners include Sanoma (publisher of Libelle, Flair, Viva), Hearst (publisher of Elle, Esquire, Vogue), Pijper Media (publisher of Grazia, Beau Monde and Marie-Claire).

Shopsuite launched in 2015 and was created by Mark Zijdemans, Rick Curé and Maarten de Smit. In May 2017, the startup received a €250,000 investment from anonymous investors in the e-commerce and media industries.
