Salvatore Ferragamo has upsized its Bicester Village outlet store and revamped its interior with fit-out specialist Portview working on the ‘new’ store that’s now double the size of its predecessor.

The location carries “a generous” range of men’s and women’s fashion collections and covers 200 sq m, with 150 sq m of additional storage space on the mezzanine level.

The company said the interior “strikes the perfect balance between elegance and exuberance, with Art Deco-inspired features such as rich travertine ceramic flooring, polished walnut surfaces, brass hardware, and plush golden velvet settees.”

It was designed in-house by Ferragamo Store Planning, with Mark Pinney Associates as consultants, and features “understated ambience” with warm, neutral tones of café au lait and honeymilk, framed by metallic accents of brass and champagne gold. The use of concealed LED lighting is meant to create the illusion of ‘floating’ shelves.

Brands have been paying major attention to their Bicester Village stores with the centre continuing to act as a tourist magnet and offering even more for visitors since its recent expansion that saw a raft of new stores being added.
The Village operator added 30 news outlets and a VIP centre last autumn as it worked to boost its upscale image further and appeal to high-spending customers.
