U.S. streetwear brand Stüssy opened on Friday its first standalone store in Paris, with the southern California brand bringing its range of men's and women's apparel to the City of Light.

The Paris opening is Stüssy's 28th store worldwide - Stüssy

Located in the French capita's Le Marais district, at 44 Rue du Temple, the 'Paris Chapter' store is designed by long-time collaborator Willo Perron and combines simple raw materials like sheet metal, wood, and glass to create a serene shopping experience.

Marking the Paris store debut, a selection of exclusive products are available in the Paris Chapter: a campaign t-shirt shot by Mark Lebon, a Paris Saint-Germain Nike football jersey, a Paris trucker hat, a Stüssy Paris Chapter t-shirt, and a t-shirt nodding to Tyrone Lebon’s Fall ’16 campaign, the brand said in a blog post.

The store opening comes several months after FashionNetwork.com first reported the news of Stüssy's plans to bow its first Parisian store back in July.

At the time of reporting, Stüssy planned to be opening in Paris in the coming October, but the store has been delayed by four months, as the third wave of Covid-19 swept through Europe late last year, including France and its capital, holding up supply chains and halting normal business operations.

Founded in the early 1980s by Shawn Stüssy and his associate Frank Sinitra Jr. in Laguna Beach, California, the Stüssy Paris store marks the opening of Stüssy’s 28th store in the worldwide.

The brand is already present in Asia with 14 stores across China, Japan, Malaysia, South Korea, and Singapore as well as in North America with six stores located across the U.S. and Canada.

The brands European stores are spread across Milan, Madrid, London, and Amsterdam. Stüssy also has a presence in multi-brand Dover Street Market stores in Los Angeles, Ginza (Tokyo), and London.
