Atelier Munro x Oger allows customers to design their own suits via digital screens. Following the digital design process, their creation will directly be send to a factory for production. All items, including suits, shirts, ties, jackets, jeans, sneakers and shoes, are individually tailored. For their suits specifically, customers are able to pick every detail themselves: from the lining to buttons, lapels, pockets and stitching.

Rik-Jan Blanker, manager at Oger Antwerp, said in a statement: “Customization is the future of menswear, because it is a sustainable way of producing. Because the fabric is cut to size for each customer, there are fewer pieces of dust or supplies are left over. There is no waste. Furthermore, you wear something personal. In fact, every customer is his own designer.”

Oger landed in Antwerp in 2009. At the time, the retailer was already known in Belgium, but not specifically in Antwerp.

Sander Lusink, brand director at Oger, explained: “The Belgians were English oriented in tailoring, but, as we are Italian-oriented and we come from the Netherlands, we had to get used to that when we first opened in Belgium. But we have learned that everything revolves around quality in Belgium. [I believe that] Belgian customers are very inspiring and chic when it comes to clothing; they look better and spend more money on quality clothing than most Dutch people. It felt great to be able to establish our business in a country where people have good taste and where quality fashion is really important.”

Oger first introduced Atelier Munro x Oger in 2017 at the Honthorststraat branch in Amsterdam.

Oger is a luxury suits retailer, operating four stores in the Netherlands, one branch in Belgium and a web store. The family business was founded in 1989 by the brothers Robert, Martin and Oger Lusink. The suit retailer is a honorary member of the Fondazione Altagamma, the Italian committee of luxury brands that consists of high-end companies in the fields of design, fashion, food, jewellery, cars and hospitality, who are ambassadors for the Italian cultural heritage.
