UK health & beauty retailer Superdrug is to bolster its female board presence with a quartet of new executive appointments. It’s also made two key leadership changes in commerce and digital.

With a focus on diversity and inclusion, Meg Potter moves to trading director, joining the executive board. Meanwhile, Jamie Archer will be own-brand director, also with a board seat, and Joanne Mackie will move from customer and people director at Superdrug to the same post at owner AS Watson. Head of people, Amy Davies has been promoted to people director and will be part of the Superdrug and Savers leadership team.

Meanwhile, company veteran commercial director Simon Comins becomes chief commercial officer, and e-commerce director Matt Walburn is the new e-commerce, customer and marketing director.

Walburn will be key to the retailer’s omnichannel strategy and recently-announced marketplace plan.

Last month, the company said it would launch an online marketplace for beauty and wellness brands, carrying premium names, as well as start-ups and targeting diversity in brand ownership. It will feature hundreds of new and already-popular labels.
