From 2015 to September 2019, Vannetti served as worldwide communications director at Gucci. The executive also spent over seven years at Prada. In his new role on Valentino's management team, he will be tasked with developing the label's brand experience, as well as its communication efforts and its strategy in terms of image. He will be expected to work closely with the brand's creative director Pierpaolo Piccioli and CEO Stefano Sassi

"An important mission and ambition for 2020 is the ongoing evolution of the organization, through the introduction of key talents, in order to increase brand value and to be more competitive in the actual scenario. Alessio Vannetti, alongside with the current teams, will carry out the essential role of developing the brand communication strategy and implementing all activities dedicated to the Valentino community," stated Sassi in a release.

Founded in Rome by Valentino Garavani and Giancarlo Giammetti in 1960, Valentino, which hosts its runway shows during Paris Fashion Week, generated revenues of 1.2 billion euros in 2018, up 3% from the previous year.
