Geiger, who will remain as chairman, has been CEO since 1996, but informed the company that he would step down around the end of the current fiscal year, which runs to Jan. 30. He will be replaced by Mindy Meads and Thomas Johnson as co-CEOs, the teen apparel retailer said in a statement.

The company also said Michael Cunningham will move up to president from executive vice president when Geiger leaves, while remaining chief financial officer.

Meads has been president and chief merchandising officer since March 2007, while Johnson has been executive vice president and chief operating officer since March 2004.
