Kenzo Fashion show - MENS collection Autumn-Winter 2016/17 in Paris (with interviews)

Designers: Humberto Leon & Carol Lim Setting: A choir forming on the stage with a hundred singers in red aprons.Inspiration: Japan, music, the concert and devoted fans and of course travel, discovery, love...Focus: The tailoring made casual, the total look: again the bomber or the jacket matched with the trousers and the shirt. The leather textured and shiny from the first model onwards. To Note: The signature original logo of M.Kenzo Takada taken from archives lie on a shirt, trousers, etc.Interviews from Humberto Leon & Carol Lim:A lot of the collection was about the fans and the fan base and seeing fans when we go to concerts. Particularly this one concert when we went to Japan in the late 90’s, where the fans were really expressive; they showed you how much they loved the musician. And they come dressed up with their individual style and put things especially together. So that really left an impression on us.That is the original M.Kenzo Takada signature that we found in the archives. It’s got such beautiful writing and it’s such a great relook at how the logo is. It almost doesn’t look like a logo it looks like a character. We really looked at tailoring differently. There is really strong tailoring which is exciting and you do see these total looks, they’re really about devoting your all to what you’re a fan of.
